Chet Faker - Live RRR set (first ever live performance)

This is a intensely solid set for Chet Faker and his band, and considering its their first playing live together, it makes it even more impressive. My favourite is definitely the opening instrumental "Cigarettes and Chocolate", however for you later Chet fans he finishes with awesome versions of "No Diggity" and "I'm into you"

David Gilmore - Marooned

Here is a clip of David Gilmore playing 'Marooned' a song he wrote for the Pink Floyd album 'Division Bell'. This track won a Grammy and Gilmore has been quoted to say that pretty much the whole song is improvised. This live version is from the Fender Stratocaster 50th anniversary concert, watch, listen and get blow away.

Paolo Nutini - Growing Up (Live)

Folk music has been all the rage the last year or two, with bands like 'Fleet Foxes' and the more commercial 'Mumford and Sons' coming into the indie spotlight. This track is a great mix between that folksy feel and an acoustic tune. Plus Paolo Nutini's voice has a very weird sound which captures your ears interest.

Time (Inception) - Hans Zimmer (Live)

Hans Zimmer (awesome name) is a genius, hailing from Germany this guy has written scores for movies like Rainman,Thelma and Louise, The Power of One, THE LION KING, Gladiator, Black Hawk Down, The Davinci Code, Gladiator, Pearl Harbour, The Dark Knight and the list goes on.
This track is his main score from Inception, you may recognise the guy playing the guitar because its Johnny Marr from a little band called 'The Smiths'. Enjoy.

Radiohead - YOU (live 1994)

I don't really know what to say.. this is mind blowing stuff. Radiohead are easily the greatest band of our generation.

Jimi Hendrix 12 string

Something different, doesn't really need much explaining. Hendrix jamming on a 12 string = porn.

Radiohead - Optimistic (Live At The Basement)

I just cant get enough of Radiohead and if you watch this live performance and don't think they are amazing then I don't want to know you. There is something that these five blokes do together that just sends chills down my spine.

Radiohead - Optimistic (Live At The Basement):

Pretty Lights - I Know The Truth (live)

So you all know how much i love Pretty Lights by now, suffice to say, that if they ever come to Melbourne I will be that chick in the video in a bikini, at the front of the mosh, with glow paint all over my body, Taking loosing my shit.
This track is a lot more DUBSTEP than most his other tracks and its live.
I really suggest you visit his site HERE And get a hold of all the free music he gives you.

Alexisonfire (Dallad & Wade) - The Northern (Acoustic):

So if there are any Alexisonfire or City and colour fans around you should appreciate this track, Alexisonfire's fourth album was pretty terrible, however this acoustic version has at least saved one song from my totally hatred. Dallas and Wades voices blend perfectly from Sooth to Raspy.

If you want to skip the talking go straight to 0:55 mark, but they do talk about JJJ though.

Top Five Live On Later Moments

For those of you who have never seen live on later, you are missing out. It's easily my favourite Music show on TV and although its rarely on free to air TV, when I stumble on it I make a high pitched noise of excitement.
So for the people who need a run down on the show its basically a hour longs program with 4 or 5 bands that play 2 or 3 songs each, and its fucking grouse.
Here are my top 5 performances.
Swagger.

Radiohead -Paranoid Android:

Artic Monkeys - When The Sun Goes Down:

Thom Yorke -The Clock:

The Black Keys - Next Girl & Howling For You:

Gorillaz - Stylo:

Massive Attack - Teardrop (Live at Abbey Road)

We all know how awesome this song is, but this live rendition is faultless.

Its also fun to but a faces to the band if you like me and have never seen what they actually look like, the singer is well weird, lucky she can sing though.

Pink Floyd - Careful With That Axe, Eugene

I'm sitting down on a Tuesday night watching Pink Floyd live at Pompeii turned up full blast with dad, and i have to say that in my mind they are undoubtedly the greatest band ever, by far.

The music they make is absolutely insane, beyond reason, watch this video and tell me this isn't one of the coolest songs ever.
